今回は、数少ない癌を予防できるワクチンであるHPVワクチンを男性も早い段階から打っていきましょう、について解説します。

 

現在のところ、癌を予防できるワクチンは、HBVワクチンと、このHPVワクチンしかありません。

 

日本では女性へのHPVワクチンは公費負担となっていますが、男性に対しては自費となっています。

しかし海外では男性へのHPVワクチン投与も公費負担となっている国が多いです。

 

感染してから打っては意味がないので、なるべく若い時にHPVワクチンを男性も接種していくべきだと思います。

 

私もすでに接種を終了しています。

 

 

①HPVワクチンとは？

 

HPVワクチンは、ヒトパピローマウイルス（Human Papillomavirus, HPV）による感染を予防するためのワクチンです。HPVは、性的接触によって広がるウイルスであり、子宮頸がん、肛門がん、陰部がん、口腔がん、そして一部の咽頭がんなど、複数のがん種の原因となることが知られています。また、HPVは尖圭コンジローマ（いわゆる性器いぼ）の原因ともなります。

 

（１）主なHPVワクチンの種類

シルガード９（9価HPVワクチン）:　　当院採用ワクチンはこちら。

このワクチンは、HPVのタイプ6、11、16、18、31、33、45、52、および58に対する保護を提供します。これらのタイプは、子宮頸がんの大部分と尖圭コンジローマを引き起こします。

 

サーバリックス（2価HPVワクチン）:

HPVのタイプ16および18に対する保護を提供します。これらのウイルス型は、全世界の子宮頸がんの約70%を引き起こすとされています。

 

（２）効果

HPVワクチンは、特に若い女性に対して、これらのウイルスによる感染の予防に非常に効果的です。また、男性に対しても尖圭コンジローマの予防や、肛門がんやペニスがん、そして咽頭がんのリスクを減少させるために推奨されることが増えています。

 

（３）接種のタイミング

HPVワクチンの最大の効果を得るためには、性的活動を始める前に接種を完了することが理想的です。多くの国では、主に11歳から12歳の女子（および場合によっては男子）に対して定期的に接種が行われます。

 

（４）安全性と副作用

HPVワクチンは安全性が高いと広く認識されており、一般的な副作用には、注射部位の痛み、腫れ、発赤、頭痛、発熱などがありますが、これらは通常軽度で一時的なものです。

②HPVワクチンは男性にも推奨されるか？

（１）男性におけるHPVワクチンの効果:

尖圭コンジローマの予防: HPVタイプ6と11は尖圭コンジローマの主要な原因であり、これらに対する保護が提供されます。

がん予防: HPVタイプ16と18は、肛門がんやペニスがん、そして咽頭がんの主要な原因です。これらのがんのリスクを減少させることが可能です。

 

（２）推奨される年齢と接種計画:

Today, I will explain why it is important for men to get the HPV vaccine at an early stage, as it is one of the few vaccines that can prevent cancer.

 

Currently, the only vaccines that can prevent cancer are the HBV vaccine and the HPV vaccine. In Japan, HPV vaccination for women is covered by public funds, but for men, it is not. However, in many countries, HPV vaccination for men is also publicly funded.

### What is the HPV Vaccine?
